Mission and Purpose Statement of the Men Ministry


Mission: To prepare and motivate men for men ministry as a part of the great commission. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Purpose: To plan spiritual activities that target, and interest men such as ~

·  Encouraging men to attend Sunday school and to get more men involved in our men's bible 
   study class. (2 Timothy 2:15 Psalm 119:129-131)                 
·  Finding ways to involved more men in the actual working activities of the church and focus 
   on the work of Jesus in community outreach. (Matthew 25:33-40), such as visiting the sick,
   visiting individuals in prison, and feeding the hungry. 
·  Supporting the Pastor in the vision God has given him for the church by seeking to identify
   men who possess the ability or desire to serve as a leader. (Exodus 17:10-12)
·  Planning workshops and seminars to further the growth of our men with the goal of 
   reproducing leaders who will be able to teach others. (2 Timothy 2:2)
·  Encouraging men to visit other spiritual and learning programs at other churches
   (1 Timothy 4:6-11)

Mission Statement of Baptist Women Ministry

To provide St. James' women opportunities for Christian service through involvement in various committees such as, Women's Day, Sharing and Caring, Education, Women's Breakfast, Missionaries, and Bullentin Board Design.

Sharing and Caring Committee Mission Statement

To meet the needs of people who are suffering from various loses; whether theirs losses are from physical death, emotinal distress, physical problems, or serious life changes of any kind.
